How To Generate
Free Traffic To Your Website
With any business whether online or off-line that
business needs to have a regular flow of traffic in order to convert
those people into customers. It is common sense that without customers
no business can survive. This is why in all forms of business it is
imperative to device methods of generating traffic to your business
location.
Of course as part of your advertising budget you
plan out all the types of paid media advertisements. However the
business that thinks outside the box so to speak will also look at
those types of promotions that will cost the business very little or
have no cost at all. If your business is strictly part of the online
world those free paths to follow may be somewhat more readily available
than one may think. Below is a number of those free methods that I have
found to be successful in generating free traffic, sales and sign-ups.
* Traffic Exchanges….Traffic
exchanges are systems where a
business will advertise it’s URL and a short text ad
throughout the system that other members will see therefore generating
free traffic. The idea here is to make your ad compelling enough that
other members will not just click on your link but will also take the
time to look at your site, sales page, blog, newsletter
sign-up form, or forum that you may be promoting. The one that I use
utilizes what is called a start page or your home page. On that page
there will be eight ads and for each one that you click on and stay on
for twenty seconds or more you will be rewarded with random credit
amounts which you then use to have your ads shown throughout the
system. Each time your ads are shown you are charged one ad credit. You
may also buy credits from the system and you can also up-grade to a
paid member status for even more benefits.
* Forums….Become
involved in several forums that fit into
the theme of your business model. These are communities made up of
business people that exchange ideas and techniques that have made them
successful and things that have not worked so well. When you join a
forum always make your first action taken that of reading and
understanding the posting rules and other rules of the forum so as not
to be barred and gain a poor reputation. Find those that allow
signature files where you are permitted to put links back to your site.
When you post often and make your post of great value to the community
these will in time be picked up by the search engines generating more
free traffic.
* Article Marketing….Start
writing informative articles in
your field of expertise and post them on your blog, or website, and
submit them to several high ranked article directories and e-zine
directories. Many of the more respected article directories do not
allow links in the body of an article so be sure to check the rules
before posting. Always have a resource box or authors box which will
inspire any readers to click onto it and be taken straight to your
website or blog or sales page. Once again generating free traffic
through the search engines once they pick them up and index them.
* Free Classified Ads….There
are numerous sites that allow
free classified text ads and some even allow graphics. These ads may be
directly linked to a sales page, sign-up page or to your website which
ever you choose to advertise and which ever works best for your
individual business. Again generating free traffic through clicks on
the ad and search engines that pick them up.
In conclusion this list is just a small example
of how a business online can generate free traffic to their
website, sales page, blog, forum, or even a splash page to gather
sign-ups to their free newsletter which will increase their opt-in
e-mail list which is yet another method of generating free
traffic to their business. Think outside the box a stay consistent.
