Take a few moments to recall when you first
ventured out in the online business world? You must have had questions
and problems along the way. Wouldn't it have been easier if you had a
mentor or a successful online friend to ask for help? Allow yourself to
become that mentor or friend when a newbie reaches out to you and asks
for your advice, educate them; answer their questions and help them
solve their online business problems. Even if you are only in the
learning stages yourself and you have not yet gained the knowledge to
help them out, perhaps you could still point them in the right
direction, of where they may find the answers that they seek. You'll
get many benefits from helping online business newbies. Below are eight
possible benefits you could receive:
Helping out others find their way is always very rewarding
and serves as an ego boost for you. Others that know that you give of
your knowledge and help so freely will say "You had a part in their
success."
You may even become business partners and create a
totally new business together. They may become one of your best
friends. Most people can use new friends, even business
owners.
You could regularly do joint venture and cross
promotion deals with each other. You could end up being strategic
business allies in the future.
Both of you could help each other out with your
businesses. Maybe you could exchange some testimonials or endorsements
for your products or services.
You might exchange some valuable referrals. If
both of you run an affiliate program in your business you join his and
he joins your affiliate program and make sales for each others
business.
In exchange for your help they might offer you
some free advertising space on their web site or in their e-zine. You
could also exchange advertising with them.
While working together and sharing ideas you both
could end up developing a new product or service together. This new
combined effort product or service could be a combination of your
current ones, or a completely new niche that you could form a
partnership to promote and sell.
The both of you might purchase products from each
other and become each others best customers. You could sell them many
back end products or services in the future, or barter for his products
as well.
Always remember to help them out because it's the
nice thing to do and not just to benefit your own business. There are
probably many other benefits you could get from helping a new online
business owner. Not every newbie that you extend a helping hand to will
give you all the same benefits, but remember that the feelings that you
get in your soul will be plenty of pay for your kindness. The word that
you are kind to newbies will get around just as fast as the word that
you shun newbies would get around, so for your reputations sake extend
that helping hand.
